My name is Afton Wood and I teach kindergarten. I graduated from Texas Tech University and I am a die hard Red Raider. Wreck 'Em Tech! This will be my tenth year in the classroom. I have previously taught first and second grades before coming to kindergarten. This is my fourth year in Van Alstyne and I am so lucky to be here! Go Panthers!

When I am not at school, you can find me spending quality time with my husband and our kids - Callahan and Maisie, as well as our family and friends watching sports, traveling and enjoying life as much as possible.
